I'm a new user of the USPTO search tools. I have been using the search tools/computers at the San Jose USPTO office, but have learned that the workstation accounts are different from the My USPTO accounts and that the searches I create on the USPTO workstations does not show up in MyUSPTO web based account. Can These be connected?
For International Inventors, the creation of a customer number process should be facilitated also by email and not by Fax or Mail only, where the USAPTO itself is sending the customer number by email. Or, I like to apply on line through my USAPTO account - by a specialized widget if you like - because a smooth process is needed for new patent applications online. As it is now: You must first obtain a customer number... more »
When I try to create a Trademark Collection with all trademarks that I am associated with (e.g. where the attorney is me) it says "More than 1000 results found."
This is rather curious because if I do the same search on TESS, it accurately identifies the less than 50 marks for which I am the attorney.
Since we log into the Financial Manager with the same account that is associated with our Customer IDs it should be possible to automatically pull patents for which maintenance fees are due.
Populate the data automatically for patents associated with our customer numbers.
Allow one-click access to PTAB e2e through MyUSPTO. Better still, provide PTAB docket info and access directly in My USPTO.
The submission links received from TEAS do not go through the MyUSPTO.gov account and thus require logging into Financial Manager to pay fees in a trademark submission. This occurs regardless of whether a trademark submission is prepared under the MyUSPTO.gov account, or via TEAS directly. It would be helpful if the TEAS Submission Link email included an additional link that launched through MyUSPTO.gov in order to... more »
Over half the time we are not able to complete a task efficiently because the EFS/PAIR system is busy. This is a daily problem that is getting worse.
USPTO: Please upgrade the system to adequately handle the system load.
In order to change my official contact information. I need to mail in a form or login into the Office of Enrollment of Discipline. This happens very rarely (2-10 years) and many practitioners don't bother to update it. It would be much better if it was tied to the MyUSPTO account.
The "favorites" gadget should allow folders to categorize different "favorites".
The system should show more than 1000 records and/or have the ability to filter on the items > 1000 and show those 1000 results. This is especially important if using a common name, e.g., Smith.
I have gone through all of the indicated warnings/cues and gone through the processes for (1) changing my MyUSPTO password, and (2) linking MyUSPTO with the EFS online filing and private PAIR system --- yet I continue to get the boxes that indicate I need to go through the process ---- is this just over-cautiousness in the USPTO system? Or does this mean there is something wrong and there remains a risk that I'll be locked... more »
When you create a collection of trademarks using the attorney name as the filter, the collection should update itself each time a new application is filed under that attorney's name. Otherwise, the collection is useless. In other words, I should not have to create a new collection (or have to go in physically to add the new application to the collection) every time I file a new application.
Can a search function be added to the trademark docket collection widget? In other words, if I only wanted to see marks owned by one applicant, or if I only wanted to see live marks, I would want a filter to be able to do that easily. Additionally, there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to how trademark docket entries are organized--they are not in alphabetical order by mark, they are not in order of status, they... more »
Why can't we simply use files associated with our customer number to create a collection?
I'm new to this but it appears that I have to enter each application individually and manually.
This seems to be a tremendous waste of time.
