Allow secondary authentication rather than restrict PAIR authentication to one of the two options (email or phone). During the recent problem with email authentication it would have been nice to be able to temporarily switch to phone authentication.
I'm a new user of the USPTO search tools. I have been using the search tools/computers at the San Jose USPTO office, but have learned that the workstation accounts are different from the My USPTO accounts and that the searches I create on the USPTO workstations does not show up in MyUSPTO web based account. Can These be connected?
I have gone through all of the indicated warnings/cues and gone through the processes for (1) changing my MyUSPTO password, and (2) linking MyUSPTO with the EFS online filing and private PAIR system --- yet I continue to get the boxes that indicate I need to go through the process ---- is this just over-cautiousness in the USPTO system? Or does this mean there is something wrong and there remains a risk that I'll be locked... more »
Since we log into the Financial Manager with the same account that is associated with our Customer IDs it should be possible to automatically pull patents for which maintenance fees are due.
Populate the data automatically for patents associated with our customer numbers.
Why can't we simply use files associated with our customer number to create a collection?
I'm new to this but it appears that I have to enter each application individually and manually.
This seems to be a tremendous waste of time.
The Sponsorship Tool for adding delegates to my USPTO account is hard to find. Make it easier to find, by adding to the list of favorite links on the MyUSPTO home page.
In order to change my official contact information. I need to mail in a form or login into the Office of Enrollment of Discipline. This happens very rarely (2-10 years) and many practitioners don't bother to update it. It would be much better if it was tied to the MyUSPTO account.
Right now the user name and password grant full admin access to the account. Paralegals should have permission to log in and pay using secure credentials, but should not have full admin access to the account.
It would be helpful to have a view of the examiners' dockets.
The "favorites" gadget should allow folders to categorize different "favorites".
Proposal: Allow one's USPTO.gov account settings to show all the two-step authentication options you have setup. Currently: Currently when you go to your account settings and look at Two-Step Authentication, only one radio button can be selected which gives the impression that a user can only have one method. This is not true. I first selected my email. After verifying that. I then selected my email and verified that.... more »
The new sponsorship tool is, I'm happy to report, a snap to use. However, there are some issues with the sponsorship paradigm that should be rectified ASAP. First, there is no way for a firm (or any customer number owner) to see who has access to a given customer number by way of sponsorship--you can check which practitioners are associated with a customer number quite easily, but there is no mechanism that allows customer... more »
There is a block that shows the system status but currently the amount of information displayed is insufficient for any decision making/evaluation. What I would like to see is: Public PAIR Maintenance Private PAIR will be Unavailable... more »
There was a recent change to the MyUSPTO when filing either a new patent application or follow-on patent filing where the sponsored user's email address was pre-populated. Our firm does not use the sponsored user's email address as a way of communicating. Our firm has a general email box for communicating with the USPTO. I would like to see that change reversed as soon as possible so we can input our general email... more »
It would be nice to have choose, for example, two columns spanning the width of the screen rather than three.
