I'm a new user of the USPTO search tools. I have been using the search tools/computers at the San Jose USPTO office, but have learned that the workstation accounts are different from the My USPTO accounts and that the searches I create on the USPTO workstations does not show up in MyUSPTO web based account. Can These be connected?
Since we log into the Financial Manager with the same account that is associated with our Customer IDs it should be possible to automatically pull patents for which maintenance fees are due.
Populate the data automatically for patents associated with our customer numbers.
Over half the time we are not able to complete a task efficiently because the EFS/PAIR system is busy. This is a daily problem that is getting worse.
USPTO: Please upgrade the system to adequately handle the system load.
In order to change my official contact information. I need to mail in a form or login into the Office of Enrollment of Discipline. This happens very rarely (2-10 years) and many practitioners don't bother to update it. It would be much better if it was tied to the MyUSPTO account.
The "favorites" gadget should allow folders to categorize different "favorites".
I have gone through all of the indicated warnings/cues and gone through the processes for (1) changing my MyUSPTO password, and (2) linking MyUSPTO with the EFS online filing and private PAIR system --- yet I continue to get the boxes that indicate I need to go through the process ---- is this just over-cautiousness in the USPTO system? Dear Sir/Ma'am, Firstly, heartfelt gratitude for providing email-notifications for "change in status" for public patents and patent applications under Patent Dockets widget in MyUSPTO. It is a welcome move and would help Patent analyst community across the globe immensely. I wish to share an idea that can this facility be extended to provide email alerts for "changes in Image Wrapper" for public patents and patent applications?... more »
The What's New section indicates:
We added a share feature in the Patent Docket that allows you to
grant other users access to a read-only view of your collections.

However, I cannot seem to location the option to share.
The new sponsorship tool is, I'm happy to report, a snap to use. However, there are some issues with the sponsorship paradigm that should be rectified ASAP. First, there is no way for a firm (or any customer number owner) to see who has access to a given customer number by way of sponsorship--you can check which practitioners are associated with a customer number quite easily, but there is no mechanism that allows customer... more »
